Handmade Bohemian Baby Mobile

A carefully handmade bohemian hanging mobile, crafted with love by a family of Uros tribeswomen we met on our travels. The Uros people have lived in and around Lago Titicaca, Peru, for centuries, on floating grass islands that were originally created to escape the Incas. These colorful mobiles are made from the same Totora rushes the family used to make their island and their home.

This mobile will look great in any room, as a work of folkart, or as mesmerizing nursery decor. They grasses are harvested, then dyed and hand-tied into adorable miniature figures. The floating boats and symbols represent aspects of daily life on the Uros Islands and will add color and charm to your global decor. No two are exactly alike.
