Vacation Rental of the Week: Pixie Nook Cottage, Cornwall
This week’s stylish vacation rental is Pixie Nook, a charming, 300-year-old luxury cottage located in Cornwall, England. Designed with indulgence in mind, you can enjoy breathtaking sunsets from the hot tub and wake to the sound of bird song at this romantic self-catering holiday cottage squirreled away on Bodmin Moor. Jewel hues, upcycled vintage finds and bold Designers Guild fabrics create a vibrant and contemporary cottage vibe that makes for an idyllic getaway for two.
Is this the ultimate fairytale cottage or what? I absolutely love everything about this vacation rental. And every cottage needs a garden gate and a front door that’s almost completely hidden by flowering vines. Don’t you agree?
The front gate reminds me ever so slightly of the sweet English cottage Cameron Diaz found herself (and love) at in the film The Holiday. Don’t you think?
Welcome to Pixie Nook!
The interior of this adorable house is just as magical as the outside. It’s a light, bright cottage fantasy decorated with cheerful pops of color. This is one stylish vacation rental.
The country kitchen, complete with handmade tiles, slate floors and an open-plan dining area is guaranteed to get you whipping up culinary delights. The local farm shop can provide fresh local produce for your homemade recipes.
The downstairs bathroom has a clawfoot bath and power shower. The flamenco-style shower curtain provides a splash of color, even if you happen to get one of those classically gray English days. You’ll also find fluffy bathrobes and luxury toiletries.
There’s a romantic flavor to the upstairs bedroom. You’ll find a sumptuous king size bed decked out in crisp French linens and a dramatic velvet headboard, as well as a Venetian mirror, eclectic artwork and a comfy book nook.
Full of picture-perfect, chocolate box appeal, this luxury holiday cottage on Bodmin Moor has a privately enclosed garden – complete with cedar hot tub- which is a perfect spot for your afternoon tea. (You’re in England, darling, you must have a spot of tea.) Add a lily-topped pond, lots of pretty color pops, a hanging swing, a chimenea and lots of twinkly lights and you’ll find this garden is a perfect location for an after-dark hot toddy, too.
Could you eat breakfast in this fresh and cute setting? I could!
The area is home to red and roe deer, seen in nearby Herodsfoot Deer Park. Just take a look at this view…
I’m ready to pack my bags and head to Pixie Nook, how about you? I found this lovely rental and all photos here, on Unique Home Stays.
