Vacation Rental of the Week: San Antonio, Texas
San Antonio is an excellent getaway in October or November. Fall temperatures have finally drifted out of the triple-digit range and the locals are ready to whoop it up outside: the party lineup includes Oktoberfest, the post-Halloween Day of the Dead and the International Accordion Festival.
(I know, right?)
Thanks to recent upgrades to the River Walk’s Mission Reach portion, you can also hike, rent bicycles or kayak along the San Antonio River. That’s also a convenient way to burn calories if you come for November’s Wurstfest, a 10-day celebration of all things sausage in nearby New Braunfels. – all event info courtesy of Travel and Leisure magazine’s list of the best US cities for fall travel.
So – you picked San Antonio. Now, where to stay?
How about “CASITA BLANCA”, (The Little White House).
Behind the front door of this unassuming little house, lies a whole new, cozy and colorful world.
The house is just 10-15 minutes away from San Antonio’s main tourist spots with easy access to Downtown, Riverwalk (Paseo del Rio) and the Convention Center, the Zoo, North Star Mall and The Quarry for shopping and dining. Plus lots of other attractions nearby.
C’mon inside…
The bright living room flows right into the open kitchen.
Here’s the large, lovely master suite. I really like the exposed beams and wall of windows. Can’t you feel yourself relaxing already?
The master bath is fresh and modern.
Plus there are three colorful guest rooms.
Turquoise…
Apple green…
And sunny yellow…
Are you planning a fall trip? What do you think about Texas and Casita Blanca?
And do any of these San Antonio festivals sound like your kind of fiesta?
