Story Behind The Scarf

“Tyger! Tyger! Burning bright, in the forests of the night.” These famous lines from William Blake’s poem, memorized during her school days, resurface in Alice Shirley’s design showcasing a noble yet gentle tiger. Blending childhood recollections with her artistic skill, the British illustrator—renowned for her depictions of wildlife—found inspiration in the remarkable botanical archives of Natural History Museum. She adorns this majestic feline with the vibrant flowers and lush plants of India. A graceful composition infused with poetry and softness.
