The scarf is hand-sewn onto the mat to celebrate the unique character of the hand-rolled edges.

Story Behind The Scarf

The story behind the Hermès L'Heure des Gants (The Hour of Gloves) scarf is a chronological journey through the brand's history, imagined as a clock where the hours are marked by iconic objects such as powder boxes, playing cards, gloves and alarm clocks  

Designed by Jonathan Burton, the scarf pays homage to Hermès' archives, from the 1920s to the present day, with the hours themselves depicted as leather or suede-covered gloves. It uses these objects to tell the story of Hermès, embodying the essence of the brand's history and craftsmanship.

Vintage Hermès 100% silk l'Heure des Gants scarf hand-sewn onto a linen mat and custom framed in a champagne gilt wood frame to celebrate the unique character of the hand-rolled edges. Hanging hardware included.
