Vacation Rental - Kauai, Hawaii
Kauai is one of my favorite Hawaiian Islands. Mr. H and I spent most of our honeymoon on nearby Lanai, but I’ve been to Kauai several times.
Kauai is home to the famous St. Regis Princeville Resort and (at least part of the time) to Pierce Brosnan, Ben Stiller, Bette Midler and a host of other stars. It’s also a favorite getaway for Rob Lowe, Ben Affleck and hunky beach bums in general.
But I’m here to tell you about a charming, upscale surf shack that you can rent for a self-catering holiday.
Just steps from Poipu Beach and Brennecke’s Beach, this bright, colorful and beautifully appointed Kauai vacation rental is so much fun. This is the epitome of laid-back beach style. So grab your board shorts and let’s go.
This holiday home stay, rather unexpectedly, features a new, fully-equipped kitchen with granite counters. It’s super nice and despite being sleek and modern, still has a cottage feel…
A newly renovated bath has a modern Asian theme that, again, manages to be cottage-y, too. (And don’t worry, there’s also an outdoor shower for when you’re heading back from the beach. And isn’t that why you’re here?)
The master bedroom features a Tommy Bahama four poster bed decorated with palm trees and perfect linens…
While the second bedroom has stylish twin beds with a retro-patriotic theme.
Your dining-in options are endless, too, at this vacation rental. You’ll have a screened-in lanai…
A more “formal” dining room off the kitchen – (but this IS the beach, so not too formal)…
And an outdoor barbecue and dining area…What more could you want from a home stay?
This sweet cottage is in a beachfront neighborhood on a quiet street.
You can wander off to Brennecke’s Beach, famous for its perfect boogie boarding waves or Poipu Beach, which has calmer water and beautiful snorkeling, and is always rated one of the top ten Hawaii beaches. You’re close to lots of other activities, too – if you need any!
I’m picturing myself getting tan, letting my hair go wild and wearing bikinis and muumuus at this Kauai rental for a good, solid week.
Tuna sashimi by the bowlful…
Fresh pineapple…
Oh – and somebody better bring a ukelele!
If you want to stay at this Hawaiian holiday rental, you can find it on Vacation Rental by Owner (VRBO).
I’ve used VRBO many times and always been happy – and if you get there before me, let me know how it was!
