8 Ways to Decorate with Vintage Luggage
They don’t make suitcases like they used to…the older ones have character and patina, and you can still find affordable vintage suitcases at thrift stores and in antique shops for reasonable prices. Most vintage luggage has traveled far and wide; their once vibrant colors have faded and their leather has worn to a subtle softness – and what we use now is lighter and much more convenient for actual travel.
Fortunately, there is no shortage of alternative uses for vintage luggage. Here is my round-up of 8 Ways to Decorate with Vintage Luggage.
Yellow vintage suitcase side table with hairpin legs.
This shabby chic suitcase coffee table is so cute – and think of the storage it would provide!
These vintage stacked suitcases make a lovely nightstand in this yellow and turquoise inspired bedroom. I had this same setup in one of my first apartments. This would look great in a woodsy cabin or beachside surf shack, too.
Take the bottom of a vintage suitcase and transform it into a breakfast tray, how clever!
A suitcase chalkboard! This would also be fun at a retro-styled wedding.
Repurpose an old suitcase into a cozy dog bed. Your pets will thank you.
A suitcase vanity and towel holder.
