Gorgeous Topiary Gardens Around the World
Topiary Gardens are my secret passion.
Throughout my travels, I look for local topiary gardens to visit. A topiary is a living art piece, and their fantastical shapes, in an open landscape, can feel magical and other-worldly.
Today, I thought that we would highlight a few of these one-of-a-kind gardens.
Take a look at these gorgeous Topiary Gardens around the world…
Drummond Castle and grounds were established in Perthshire, Scotland, in 1490.
The tower house remains largely intact, but the gardens have been substantially changed over the centuries.
There’s a small but unique garden in Rhode Island called Green Animals Topiary Garden, located on a small country estate in Portsmouth on Aquidneck Island.
The estate dates back to the 1800s and consists of seven acres of beautiful land, dotted with topiary animals.
The Houzen-ji temple in Osaka is famous for its moss-covered Fudo-myo statue, known as Mizukake Fudo.
People visit the shrine for prosperous businesses and fulfillment in love.
Even Epcot has topiary! The park has an annual flower and garden festival that usually takes place in March.
Many fun, Disney topiary characters can be found there!
Pearl Fryar’s garden in Bishopville, South Carolina, is an ongoing work of contemporary horticultural art.
Fryar began creating his topiaries in the 1980s as he rescued trees and shrubs that local nurseries had thrown away.
The living sculptures at the Montreal Botanical Garden are swoonworthy.
This particular beauty is called A True Story. Shanghai’s tribute to Xu Xiu Juan — who devoted her life to the red crown crane — towers over visitors.
