These global touches, cast from vintage molds of exotic and mythical cultures, add instant glamour to a space and are a tactile reminder of the wider world of design. This pair of handsome brass tusk-shaped handles are our largest and most dramatic. They add heft and visual interest to any set of doors. Inspired by history, yet thoroughly modern, these heavily stylized handles are a sure fire conversation starter. We can definitely see them in a mod, mid-century party pad, but they’d be equally at home in a glammed up Georgian entryway. Featuring detailing of elephants, sacred and revered animals in India and widely associated with the Hindu god Ganesha, it seemed right to have this deity — known for removing obstacles and and the god of beginnings — facilitate the opening of doors.

You don’t need us to tell you that animal prints

You don’t need us to tell you that animal prints are having a moment 🦓🐆 To us, they’re neutrals and always a mix of timeless and trendy. By mixing up the colors and patterns, we took this traditional print and made it 100% on-trend. Our Moxie zebra print isn’t a fad, it’s a fixture. The lilac and teal color palette is grounded in many worlds. It’s current and modern, yet, due to the subtlety of the depth of colors, it feels old world and worn with time (and love). We wanted to coordinate back to some of our most popular existing patterns, like our Neela Blue (bottom left). The Neela pattern is a beautiful blue scrollwork, reminiscent of paisleys and Indian saris, but the image originated as Moorish architectural elements in Italy. Now, that’s seriously cross-cultural! Moxie also works great with Vintage Gypsum (top right), a textile that captures the look of centuries of peeling plaster on an ancient wall in Italy, layered with painted brush strokes and random stipples of color. We told you she’s versatile!

Thanks to its timeless aesthetic roots, the Moxie collection can be used in a multitude of ways. With elements that can go both masculine and feminine, it’s unpredictably satisfying; trendy and traditional, playful and classic, ethereal and dramatic – all depending on which coordinates you choose. And as excited as we are about Moxie, we can’t wait to show you the next set of introductions to the collection. New colorways will give Moxie a completely different but familiarly fantastic feel. We always think you should have a bit of fun in your home, and if a rainbow zebra doesn’t put a fabulous smile on your face, we don’t know what will!

Meet Fancy Pants 🐆 A coordinate that makes the Moxie experience as bold and adventurous as the name promises. This leopard print is somewhat masculine, but also a bit of a fashion plate, so we named the color ways Beau and Bob. Beau—for the famous English dandy, Beau Brummel—and Bob, because it’s a cat (Get it? Bobcat? Ha!) Obviously, we had some fun with all of this. Available in fabric by the yard and wallpaper. Also coordinating is Plaidish fabric, with lines that aren’t straight and softness you don’t always associate with a traditional plaid print, and Andalusia fabric, a Moorish-inspired pattern, named after the region in Spain known for its Moorish architecture. This is a pattern we came up with years ago but weren’t sure where it lived – until now.
