Fabric by the Yard - Bakuba Lodge / Kola
This colorful fabric by the yard is our interpretation of traditional African raffia applique. Unique to the Congo (formerly Zaire) traditional kuba is a detailed abstract art form, widely studied for its complexities. For centuries, these geometric African patterns have influenced artists from Matisse to Picasso.
Our version has been simplified into a repeat and treated with an evocative wash reminiscent of water color. Our heavy cotton linen blend makes a great upholstery fabric. Or, use for pillows, table linens or bedding.
Each pattern is a SmithHönig designer fabric exclusive. Order this colorful fabric by the yard online for the easiest home decor project ever! Sold in one yard increments.
